Back in late April, I finished taking Vis Com 1: Dynamic Sketching at Concept Design Academy with Patrick Ballesteros–a very talented artist and a great instructor. Prior to this class, I was never confident with rendering/sketching creatures, plants, forms, etc. So it was really nice going back to the basics for a change and learning some new techniques. I still have a lot to learn and improve on, but I look forward to developing my technique. If you're interested, or have been thinking about this class, I would highly recommend it!

So recently, I've taken it upon myself to continue taking art related classes/lessons, whether they be online or in a classroom setting. One is never done learning. I came across the talented Noah Bradley's Week 1: Master Studies video from his Art Camp course. Luckily for us, he provided the first demo for free! :) This video is chock-full of techniques and information that can be useful to anyone wanting to improve their artistic skills.
Just incase the video doesn't work, here's the link: Noah's Art Camp: Week 1 Master Studies
Here are the paintings I selected for this study. A good majority of these came from the Art Renewal website (www.artrenewal.org) that Noah provided.
In addition to his videos, Noah posts advice and shares personal experiences on his blog (www.noahbradley.com/blog). A lot of his articles can be great food for thought to anyone going down an artistic career path.
